The unique, new Economizer
intelligent filter system for compressed air
systems from ultrafilter can reduce operational
costs by up to 70%. Pre-programmed with all
the operational data relevant to an individual
installation, the Economizer controls the
status of the filter, determining on-line
the cost-optimised time to change the filter
element.
Its highly intelligent electronics continually
evaluate element and energy costs with the
increasing differential pressure. This is
then compared against individual dedicated
stored data to calculate the effects on running
costs caused by the increasing contamination.
The Economizer then signals when the optimum
time for filter change is reached. Economizer

In operation, the Economizer is programmed with
all the relevant data unique to an individual installation.
This includes electricity rates, the costs of an
element exchange as well as other specific data.
Utilising this information, the Economizer continually
calculates the resulting energy loss and compares
the values to the costs of an immediate element
exchange. It then signals the optimum moment for
the filter element to be changed. This not only
significantly saves energy costs, but it also ensures
